A weekend without a phone sounds like detox marketing. For me it was an attempt to have my own pace again.
The first hours are restless. Then the quiet becomes concrete: conversations without a glance at the edge of a pocket. A thought that is allowed to finish.
I am not against technology. I build it. That is exactly why I sometimes have to put it down. Otherwise I confuse reaction with work.
Monday morning the device was back. But the threshold to answer immediately was higher. That is enough of a result.
